I discovered Godot a bit more than a couple months ago now and used this project to get used to it, mainly till mid-August, then on-and-off.

I envisioned this game as an incremental, the main game loop being the partner(s) life cycle(s), and the progress carried over being the town prosperity progression (akin to the original Digimon World's), the moves learned in previous lives, and anything tamer-related (items, levels of expertise for each digimon raised, granting various boni).

It is safe to consider this project abandoned today, although it wasn't in vain for me, far from it. So far, you can raise your digimon and fight with it, hope you'll enjoy what I've done in this rudimentary state.

Special thanks to Zibeline and other internet strangers who taught me the basics.

Survival guide in my prototype:

  • No mutant digivolution implemented yet, so punishment for not flushing your poop will only go as far as draining your digimon of happiness/discipline and increasing your care mistakes.
  • Botamon is the only baby available, which leaves you with Koromon, [Black/Toy/Clear/OG]Agumon, [Geo/Blue/OG]Greymon, Tyrannomon, Monochromon to toy with. The lego mons don't digivolve in this version.
  • /!\ Warning /!\ You have no means to regen hp/mana in this version of the game. Once you drop to 95%, you stay there until you take another hit! That being said, move attribution isn't a thing yet so mana consumption isn't possible as is. Enemies have moves though, watch out!
  • Although some stuff seem to be here at first glance, they're not implemented. On top of my head, I can list the harsh training and long schedule toggles, but feel free to ask in case of doubt, there's prolly more to tell.

Come at me with your feedback, my body is ready!
